[ANGOP] Praia -- Angolan Head of State João Lourenço arrived Monday in Cabo Verde to attend the inauguration of the elected President of that country José Maria Neves to take place this Tuesday.

[ANGOP] Luanda -- The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, Monday left Luanda for Cape Verde, where he will witness the swearing in ceremony of the President-elect of that West African country, José Maria Neves.

[RFI] A member of parliament in the West African island nation of Cape Verde was sentenced to two years in prison this week for domestic violence against his wife. The assault occurred four years ago, but only went to trial last month.
