50% increase in car sales from last year
Sales of new cars is up 50% compared to the same time last year. There have 9,268 new cars been sold, but last year at the same time the number was 6,042.

A landslide fell in the Westfjords
A landslide fell on the road between Ísafjörður and Hnífsdalur in the Westfjords this morning. The road was closed as a result but according to a tweet from The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration the road has already been opened.
