SEOUL - A South Korean court sentenced the leader of the secretive and powerful Unification Church on Monday to two years in prison on charges of bribing officials, including the then president's wife.

The Department of Local Administration terminated the employment of 3,868 officials nationwide on Monday, suspecting them of rigging their recruitment examination results  late last year.
